1. How do I place an advert?
You can place an ad in three easy steps:
1. If you are a new member you will need to complete our membership form by clicking on the Register Now link. If you are an existing member you can login using your email and password.
2. Pay your Euro 5 membership which entitles you to unlimited ads for 4 weeks.
3. Construct and preview your ad.
Once approved your ad will appear live on the site. We endeavour to have all ads live within 24 hours.
2. How many things can I sell in one ad?
You can sell more than one item in an ad so long as the item fits into that category, however as BabyBay.ie allows you unlimited ads it makes sense to sell items individually and in the correct category. You can only place one price against each ad.
3. Do I have to include a photo?
Yes. All ads on BabyBay.ie must include a photo image.Including a photo will improve your chances of selling your item. For legal reasons, please ensure that the photo is of the item only and no children are included in the picture.
4. How long will it take my advert to appear on the site?
Once approved your ad will appear on the site within 24 hours
5. How long will my ad remain on BabyBay.ie?
As a member of BabyBay.ie you can upload ads for the duration of your 4 week membership, therefore your ads will remain on the site for the duration of your membership. You will receive an email offering you the opportunity to extend your membership for another 4 weeks if your items have not sold.
6. Will I be able to make changes to my ad once it goes live?
Yes. As a member of BabyBay.ie you will have an admin section where you can edit your ads for the duration of your membership.
7. Can I remove my ad from the site once my item has been sold?
Yes. As a member of BabyBay.ie you will have an admin section where you can remove your ads when your items are sold. If you do not remove the ads, they will automatically be deleted once your membership expires. However it is advisable to remove ads when an item is no longer available to prevent other users contacting you regarding that item.
8. I live in Cork and want to buy a buggy from someone in Dublin. How much does it cost to post?
For postage of larger items we recommend www.parcel2go.com as the most cost effective provider. You can post larger items within Ireland from just 15euro. 9. How do I know my credit card details are safe?
We use PayPal as our payment system. PayPal does not share any financial information with BabyBay.ie so your details are completely safe. For more information on payments made via PayPal please visit their Data Security and Encryption page.
